Lin Yu Chun, a worldwide superstar who earned his fame through a Taiwanese audition program, recently confirmed the popularity of Super Junior in Taiwan. The talent was visiting the nation to participate in an episode of SBS’s “Star King“.
Lin Yu Chun met with reporters at SBS’s broadcast hall on November 8th and stated, “The popularity of Super Junior in Taiwan is beyond anything imaginable.”
When asked whether he knew any Korean singers, he replied, “Super Junior, especially Lee Teuk, the Wonder Girls, 4minute, and SNSD all have immense popularity. In school events, students perform Super Junior’s ‘Sorry Sorry.’”
He continued, “Whenever I find a Korean singer I like, I’ll buy the CD and listen to it until it breaks. They’re all amazing in singing and dancing. I’d love to learn dancing from them one day. I’m also a great fan of BoA. Her ballads always move me and her choreography makes me want to get up and dance.”
Lin Yu Chun was an average part-time worker until he joined CTS’s popular audition program, “Super Star Avenue.” He sang Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” and earned much attention not only for his vocal talent, but also for his cute image as well. Internationally, Lin Yu Chun has been referred to as ‘Taiwan’s Susan Boyle’ and is now signed under Sony Music Taiwan.
His appearance on “Star King” will be broadcasted on November 27th.
